Background information
Founded in 1888. Has a collection of Victorian paintings, but is especially known for collection of 20th century paintings and sculpture of the British School (housed in the adjacent Henry Moore Institute).

Famous for Camden Town paintings, also pre and post 1950 British Art. Extensive 20th century sculpture. Comprehensive collection of prints 1500-1990s and early English watercolours.
