I have a small vase of Omar Khayyam Design No.440397 B.P.Co.Ltd.,
I would like to know how old it is and what it it worth will it be hand painted lovely pictures.
Thank you WY Collis
I am absolutely sickened and deeply, deeply offended at your foul and filthy display of anti-semitism you have shown in your recent and ongoing desecration of the Holy Torah. I would submit that because the Jew has been a fair target of Jew-haters over the centuries, you at the Glasgow Art Gallery think you have a right to continue this racist nazi-type policy. I am not a gambling man, but in the words of the worldly I would `bet my bottom dollar` that you do not have the guts to do to the Holy Koran what you have done to the Holy Torah.
My deepest and sincere prayer is that someone will come to your Art Gallery and retrieve the copy of the Holy Torah which your wicked minds and hands have allowed to be so desecrated and take it to a place of safe-keeping.
And you and the Gay Christian Community, think that your actions and that of the Gay Christian Community which have given the go-ahead for this desecration will endear them to other religious people...far from it...they have made enemies for themselves by this action.
Like other enquirers, I have a water colour by T. Matherson, entitled The Welsh Coast. It is a shore, beach and cliff scene.
I am wondering if there were any responses to earlier questions about this artist?
Ihave come across 2 T. matherson watercolours and am puzzled that no-one has heard of him or knows anything about him!Am interested to see his paintings date back to 1936. Surely someone must know about him!
I have a large oil or acrylic on canvas of a seascape by an artist named Matherson. It is really beautiful. There is no T. before the last name just Matherson, any chance this could be the same artist. T. Matherson? Any info about this artist appreciated.
I have a pair of Matherson Water Colours also 16" x 6". They were a wedding present to my parents in 1936. On the back of both in the artist's handwriting they are labelled "Cornish Coast". I would also like to hear more about this artist.
I read with interest the two comments about the artist T. Matherson. I also would like to know about this person. I have two watercolours, same size as the other 16" x 6" approx., which I inherited from my parents. They are seascapes and possibly of the Cornish coast but are not named as such. I would be glad to hear from other owners of this artist's work and would like to know more about him/her.
I also have a T Matherson waterscape "cornish Coast", same size. I inherited this fromm my Grandfather 30 years ago. I also would like to know more about this artist.

Hi there! The questions posted on the web site are quite interesting. Is there a listing of answers or responces somewhere? I also have pieces of pottery with these stampings and have wondered from time to time if they were of any consequence other than sentimental. Thanks so much, V :)

I have an oil painting signed 'John Pettie' of a gentleman named Andrew Black. Can anyone shed some light on who he was, and whether he has any present-day relatives?
I have two paintings given to me from my mother. They were given to her from her mother who brought them over from England to Canada after the war. The artise name on the paintings is T. Matherson and one of the paintings is named Off Lynmouth. I think they are water based approx. 16" by 6". We were told when we had the frame restored that the glass was very old. Beside that i can't find any information on this artise or his paintings. If you have any idea's or suggestion would be very appriated.
I purchased a collection of the ORIGINAL ARTWORK for cards published by Miller & Laing in Glasgow. Does anyone know about this company OR the artists who worked for them? Thank you.
i have a bowl with the stamp of britannia pottery co. ltd scotch ivory do you have information relating to this company and any collectors of type of pottery.
