Background information
Contemporary visual art from local, Scottish and international artists showing alongside an impressive permanent collection of 20th Century British art including works by Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth and Stanley Cursiter. The work is housed in two converted harbourside buildings. Pier Arts Centre is funded by SAC and Orkney Islands Council, and is undergoing a major expansion from 2002.
