I have a minature of an army officer that the National Army museum in London has suggested that it might be of a 1st lieutenant in the Dundee (1st Bn) Volunteer infantry. His initials are JW or may be FW which might be John Webster. The minature was painted by W Grimaldi in 1801, this was confirmed by the V&A in London. I would be interested to learn more about this Officer and to possibly be able to trace if he had a family connection.
