Background information
An early 20th century house, and the home of George Bernard Shaw from 1906 until his death in 1950. Many literary and personal relics are shown in the downstairs rooms which reflect Shaw's interest in art, music and the Arts and Crafts Movement. The rooms remain as in his lifetime. Shaw's bedroom and bathroom are also on view and there is a display room upstairs. Shaw's writing hut can be seen in the garden.
