Background information
Family home of the Earl of Strathmore. Childhood home of H.M. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and the legendary setting of Shakespeare's famous play 'Macbeth'. A five storey Tower block from the 15th century remodelled in the 17th century and containing a wide range of historic pictures, furniture, porcelain and tapestries.
